How To Fix A Golf Swing

TIP! Only use chipping to direct the golf ball over an obstacle, such as out of the sand or over a small bump. If there is a direct path to your desired destination, putt the ball since this is a more accurate method of hitting the golf ball toward the hole.

Are you having trouble slicing the ball away from you? Did the ball leave you in the shape of a banana? This is easy to fix with a few simple steps. Close your club face. Twist the club in your hands until the top of the club points slightly down to the ground.

TIP! Never shoot for the hole in one. In fact, unless you're actually on the green you shouldn't be shooting for the cup at all in golf. You want to shoot for the green. Aiming to land it on the green is a much bigger target than shooting at the flag or the hole itself.

Remember to hit in a downward manner on the golf ball to get it to fly up into the air. New golfers seem to think they need to assist the ball off by hitting it up, but that just isn't true. The best golfers go with the philosophy that you should pretend you are trying to pound the ball into the turf.

TIP! To practice the best grip on your club, use a clapping hand test. Take your golf stance and then place your hands in front of you with palms together as though clapping.

Develop a consistent method for stroking accurate iron shots by always starting with your club head first during the address. By focusing on the proper placement of the iron in relationship to the ball and your target, you can then properly align your feet and shoulders for a straight shot.
