Staying Out Of Trouble With Your Driver

Steer Clear of Trouble with that Driver

Are you currently experiencing some sort of trouble with your golf follow through? Does your approach shot need improvement, or are there a few glitches in the way you do your straight shoot? Are you practicing the art of great biomechanics golf or do you need to learn how to fix a golf hook? Is your golf impact ball not nearly as impactful as it's supposed to be?

For so many golfers, a lot of factors can be named when it comes to identifying the things they need to improve on in their game. For some people, it's just plain inconsistency that's killing their driver—for others, it can be a simple slice or hook. No matter what it is, you can learn to improve your golf score by eliminating those killer factors. Here are your first few tips for improving your game.

Tip: Chill out on the swing.

So many golfers tend to tense up when they get ready to swing—maybe it's the pressure to make it as light and as fluid as possible, but know that the moment you tense up, this kills your swing. The best swings are always those that simply glide instead of smash. Any golfer needs to master the art of the easy swing because this will help them prevent any golf mishaps and even improve their golf score. A great way to improve this would be to regularly spend time just practicing your swing. I know it sounds boring and repetitive, but mastering the way a good swing feels will help you be able to do it naturally when you play an actual game. Such type of swing allows you to hit the ball better, therefore allowing you to score better.

Tip: Try on a low spin ball.

Sound strange or unfamiliar to you? A low spin ball can greatly improve your score as its impact on the ball is to allow it to move in a straighter direction despite the occasional left or right movements it might make along the way. If you want to practice with a great ball, the brands to try are Precept Laddie, Maxfli Noodle and Titleist DT Solo—and these only cost around $13 to $20 for a set of twelve (1 dozen). These tend to lower the side spin that one normally experiences when hitting the ball.

I know that reading all this now may sound quite straightforward, but the truth is that it takes more work to actually do it and work on it. So remember—if  your driver control needs some tweaking and improving, concentrate on these tips first. One of the things that make a golf game so great is the quality of your swing. So  if  you work on mastering that, you should realize that it really is one of the makings of an ideal game.
